    1. Perhaps I'll get the chance to write a a real review later. For now, suffice it to say that I really loved this book! There were a few things I didn't care for, but not enough to knock a star off that 5-star rating. ;)

    2. Hawk the second book in The Quiet Professionals series. I had no trouble reading it as a stand alone as I have not read the first book. This story is action packed, moves fast and contains a lot ofharsh reality. The story contains many twists, unexpected turns and Shocking surprises. The author gets inside the heads of the characters and presents them to the reader so you understand the innerworkings of all involved…e main two characters and theterrorist plus Raptor 6 team members and other Ameri [...]

    3. Hawk was an action-packed military thriller! It took me a little bit to get into, but there were some moments that really held my attention and I didn't want to put the book down. I loved the characters and I can't wait to start the next book to read Falcon's story. I'm not sure if I liked this book better than the first one, but either way both were great and I recommend the books I've read in this series so far!!*I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review. As always, all [...]

    4. Having read Raptor 6 and Operation Zulu Redemption over the course of the summer I have come to expect thrilling military action aka Rapid-Fire Fiction from Ronie Kendig. While reading HAWK, I came to the realization that I liked this book in a completely different way. While the action, intensity, suspense and imminent threat of danger were present, there were two elements in this story that resonated with me. Foremost, Ronie made a heart connection for me with her characterization of Sgt. Bria [...]

    5. Hawk is book two in The Quiet Professionals series. Raptor 6 is book one. This series is truly ongoing from book to book. Each story builds on the one before it as more of the terrorist plot is revealed and Raptor team comes closer to discovering who is out to get them. Once again, just as in Raptor 6, we see the story through the eyes of both the hero and heroine, but we also get glimpses into the minds of the terrorists. This builds some great tension in the book. Seeing the villains lay out t [...]

    6. Staff Sergeant Brian "Hawk" Bledsoe is just one step ahead of the demons of his past. He's got a quick temper, but he's also a man of his word.As a pilot, Fekiria Haidary shatters the stereotype for Afghan women. She's headstrong yet brilliant, a winning combination that doesn't escape Hawk's eye. When the Raptor team is faced with faulty information and Hawk get's separated from his team, he needs to make a crucial decision: protect those in his care or his brothers-in-arms.***Warning: From the [...]

    7. It’s hard to believe we’re already upon another launch for one of the talented Ronie Kendig’s novels and yet the calendar says that is exactly where we are. The second book in her newest series, this follows the titular Raptor team member Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe, who manages to get into quite the scrapes in the beginning of the book – one that transfers him to another team following a leave that sends him back home. Then there is Fekiria Haidary. Fekiria is an Afghan pilot who has been [...]

    8. Hawk is the second book in Ronie Kendig’s The Quiet Professionals series. It picks up in Afghanistan with the team from Raptor 6, and tells us more of the team’s story, focusing this time on Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe. I really liked his character; he is a bit rough around the edges, somewhat arrogant, but a man of honor and integrity who never talks down to female counterparts in the American or Afghan military. He is a multi-layered character—just when I thought I had him figured out, Kend [...]

    9. My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Disclaimers: I received an e-galley of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review. The Characters: After reading the first in the series, Hawk was a character that I wanted to know more about. This book provided those answers. I thought that Kendig did a good job of bringing him to life. He was a surprisingly good character and I enjoyed watching [...]

    10. Wow! The more I read Ronie Kendig’s books, the more I love them! I am becoming a huge fan. Her books have so much appeal. They are full of action and suspense. The characters are three dimensional. The villains are really creepy. There’s often a beautiful picture of sacrificial love. The story grips you and just doesn’t let up till the end. The only negative thing is the wait between books!I loved the character of Hawk. He is so flawed and so honorable. He makes a promise to someone he bar [...]

    11. Trouble seems to surround Special Ops soldier Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe on every front; like a mist blanketing the ground at early dawn. Trained as a communications specialist for an elite team; code name “Raptor”; his brilliant mind, handsome face and fiery temper put him in the middle of danger on multiple levels; especially when he anonymously befriends Fekeria Haidary; cousin to his captain’s girlfriend and an under-the-radar member of the Afghan National Army. Fekeria Haidary, otherwis [...]

    12. No one likes being a pawn, especially Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe. He’s a tough as nails soldier, tenacious to the bone. Possessing an indomitable spirit, he is faced with grueling challenges. In brutal conditions, he must make painful choices forced upon him by merciless enemies that will test him in every way. Will he come out the victor? Fekiria Haidary has reason to be protective. Her secret is a big one and could cost her her life. She maintains a delicate balance in her undertaking, always [...]

    13. Raptor 6 is back in this suspense-filled, action-packed continuation to the Quiet Professional series. Ronie Kendig doesn’t pull any punches in Hawk as she thrusts her readers headfirst into a boatload of danger and a frigid snowstorm that has even the reader fending off frostbite. While the characters ran for their lives, fought the subzero temperatures, or faced insurmountable obstacles both on the home front and in the battlefield, their story became my own as I acutely experienced every suc [...]

    14. Hawk by Ronie Kendig started out as a great read. I really enjoyed the fast paced suspense, well written plot, and believable characters. It's all one asks for in a suspense read. The main character had his past to deal with as well as his military responsibilities. The other cast members were great, and one particular sub plot involving the personal life of a military brother added a great personal side to what those in our military face. All along, I didn't care for the euphemisms used such as [...]

    15. Staff Sergeant Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe caught my attention in book one of The Quiet Professionals series – so I really looked forward to reading his story. Hawk is a gorgeous hero with whom I’d like to spend a day. In book one; Raptor 6, we also met Fekiria—Zarah’s cousin. I didn’t like her so much from the start. However, I have seen Kendig turn my thoughts before about how I liked a character in a previous book, so I decided to give Fekiria a chance. But I didn’t really get to lik [...]

    16. Psalm 57:1 "Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed"Ronie Kendig has done it again!! She keeps writing books that entertain you, yet keep you on the edge of your seat as you root for the good guys to come out safely.A terrorist is playing chess with Raptor--and it might be the undoing of HawkStaff Sergeant Brian "Hawk" Bledsoe is a man of his word. But when he makes a promise to the Afghan [...]

    17. My first attempt to read "Hawk" was unsuccessful. Partly because I had not read book #1 and felt lost and partly because of the anger built up in Hawk's character. I made a second attempt after reading book #1 and was much more successful and liked Hawk's character better. Overall, the book was good. Not my favorite, but still worth a read. One thing that bugged me was the use of fake cuss words. They were close enough to the real thing to know what was meant but just seemed a bit wimpy for the [...]

    18. What happens next?!Hawk is the second book in Ronie Kendig’s The Quiet Professionals series. I was very excited to read this one after finishing Raptor 6 and am happy to say that it was great! As always, Ronie does an excellent job with descriptions and details. I love how her books pull me into the story and keep me on the edge of my seat. Her writing is so bold and unapologetic in its honesty. She doesn’t pull many punches and gives what I believe is a fairly accurate look into the life of [...]

    19. Another intensely suspenseful tale from a master storyteller. It was action packed from beginning to end and I lost sleep because I couldn’t put it down. Wow. Full review at my website. I received this book in a giveaway. I was not required to give a positive review. All of the opinions I have expressed are my own.

    20. This is the kind of book you end up staying up all night reading because you just HAVE to know what happens next! I love how Ronie Kendig balances such intense action with heart.

    21. I awarded this novel a rating of 5 stars. However In all honesty, I gladly would have awarded this novel a rating of 10 stars if I could have. I truly believe that this novel deserved a much higher rating than its predecessor. I truly enjoyed reading HAWK, the second novel included in The Quiet Professionals series, by Ronnie Kendig. After reading RAPTOR 6, the previous novel included in The Quiet Professional series, I must admit that I possessed very high expectations for HAWK. Because I thoug [...]

    22. Wow!!! Stunning in its intensity, Ronie Kendig’s Rapid Fire Fiction just gets better and better – and Hawk is evidence of how the Lord continues to bless and use the talents He has given her! Hawk is the 2nd book in “The Quiet Professionals” series, about the fictional “Raptor” Special Forces team. Thank you, thank you Ronie Kendig for the list of abbreviations in the front of the book for terms used throughout, as well as a list of most of the characters with a very brief descriptio [...]

    23. Title: Hawk (The Quiet Professionals #2)Author: Ronie KendigPages: 363Year: 2014Publisher: Shiloh Run PressOnce again, Ronie Kendig has hit one out of the ball park! This is an action-packed, tension-filled story that will keep you enthralled from beginning to end. This story picks up not too long after book one, Raptor 6, ends. The Special Forces team is still in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban, and an unknown enemy has now made them a target for elimination as well. Brian Bledsoe or “Hawk [...]

    24. With her story-telling mastery, Ronie brings the character of Brian "Hawk" Bledsoe to life in a rush of action-packed adrenaline and emotion. Something I have come to love about Ronie's stories, there's no "formula" - meaning every book I read of hers has it's own twists, turns and shocking surprises. A lot of authors I read who write a certain genre, tend to get into a story formula that by their third or fourth book you can predict everything that will happen. It may be about a different chara [...]

    25. This is the second book in the Quiet Professionals series. I would recommend reading book 1, Raptor 6, first because the mystery that was introduced in book 1 continues in this book. Hawk was the flirtatious funnyman in the previous book but in this story, I liked getting to see a deeper side to him---his insecurities and his difficult family history. There is a lot of action and violence because the stakes are so high. The continuing mystery of the hacker and the powers that are trying to bring [...]

    26. HAWK, book two in The Quiet Professionals series quickly took off where Raptor 6 left off. And I do mean quickly!Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe is nothing if he isn’t a man of his word. But, he never imagined making a promise to an Afghan woman would nearly cost him his career. Fekiria Haidary has been a pain in his side since meeting her. Even though she is a cousin to his team leader’s girlfriend, she has made it abundantly clear she hates Americans, which includes Hawk. As luck would have it, H [...]

    27. This is the 2nd book in Kendig’s Quiet Professional Series. Raptor 6 is the 1st book in the series and was also the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved Raptor 6 and it made me look forward to reading Hawk. So far, the series is fantastic. The plot takes twists and turns which leads the reader to become so absorbed in the story that it’s very difficult to put down. I read Hawk over a weekend and as much as I needed some mysteries resolved, I’m sorry the book has ended. However, i [...]

    28. Hawk by Ronie Kendig is another wonderfully entertaining and exciting novel. Ronie is an army brat and writes with expertise and skill, weaving her tales of special ops teams and military maneuvers. Hawk is the nickname for Staff Sergeant Brian Bledsoe, a man of honor and a man of his word. Brian is a coms specialist with Raptor team, stationed in Afghanistan. Besides the terrorists, their biggest threat is an unknown expert computer hacker who is endangering their lives through stealthy surveil [...]
